Pavement Cold recycling (decohesion)

Pavement cold recycling is a technique designed to reconstitute the granular layer from the existing material. A predetermined thickness of asphalt is pulverized while mixing it with a given thickness of the existing subgrade. This eco-friendly technique limits the amount of new material that needs to be brought in and transported.

The roadway is then reshaped using a grader and finally a surface treatment or a new layer of asphalt can cover the recycled granular base.
